I’m very excited to introduce to you Jessie, who blogs over at Nailed It NZ. I’ve mentioned her quite a few times before, especially on nail art posts, because she’s amazing at creating beautiful, funky, style-y nails, and everything in between.

Jessie and I have been friends since we were 8 years old, and we were neighbours for about 12-13 years. She and I, and our other friend Hannah, have created the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge Take Two which will be kicking off in December, so do check that out. But in the meantime, Jessie has wonderfully agreed to come and guest post here and I’m sure you’ll love what she’s got to say/show you as mush as I do! Check it out:

Hey guys, I’m Jessie from Nailed it NZ! I’ve known Anjali since she moved in next door when we were just eight years old, she’s one of my oldest friends! Of course, she lives in England now but we still keep in contact – especially as we both love blogging. My blog is all about nail art, and I am constantly doing new designs – yes, I’m addicted.

This month I’m focusing on tutorials, and am trying to get one or two done a week. I’ve got a page on my blog that links to all my tutorial posts if you want to check that.

My design today is a Christmas tree!

This is the second time I’ve tried doing a tutorial for these trees; the first time I did the design on all of my nails in different colours. The problem there was that I chose some very shiny, reflective colours that didn’t photograph very well! Since then I’ve been playing around with light boxes, so hopefully I won’t have this problem again. Here’s a picture of my old design!

So for my second time around, I chose different colours and played around with different techniques for drawing the tree. I found the easiest way was to draw lines for the edges of the tree first and colour them in, which is what my tutorial will show. I also tried stacking three triangles on top of each other and mapping out where the lines would go with dots. Those didn’t work out so well! Anyway, here’s my little tutorial.

Hope you like it! I’m also going to have a tutorial for the stripy Christmas design on the rest of the fingers coming soon, so keep an eye out for that!

Thanks for having me guest post at my blog, Anjali – and if you or anyone else wants to do some nail art (or maybe something else) come pay me a visit and let me know!<

Here’s a couple more pictures – I’m terrible keeping it to just one or two!

Aren’t they just the coolest things ever!! I’m so excited for Christmas so I can try these out!

I ordered some nail art brushes the other day, so they will come soon, so I’ll be able to make those fabulous stripes that Jessie’s done! Exciting stuff!!

Thank-you, Jessie SO much for guest posting! I’m sure we can all agree that Jessie as some serious nail art skills!

Update: Jessie no longer blogs at Nailed It NZ.
