guest posting

If you’re interested in guest posting on This Splendid Shambles then you’re very welcome to pitch your ideas.

While I can’t guarantee you a post on the blog, I promise to seriously consider them. If I think that they will benefit both parties, and, most importantly, fit in with This Splendid Shambles’ themes and topics, and will captivate my audience, then we can take another step forward.

Please keep in mind the following things before pitching your ideas:

  • Even after you send your ideas, you’re not guaranteed a guest post slot.

     

  • Any links added will be checked by me. You may link back to your own blog or business but must also link to another website.

     

  • Posts need to be fully edited and ready to go.

     

  • I have the authority to veto anything that might seem unseemly, offensive, or that goes against what I strive to provide at This Splendid Shambles.

     

  • Any images you are using must be from sound sources, used legally, with captions to indicate where they are from.

     

  • Images are to be at least 1200px wide, with a landscape orientation preferred.

If you are a publishing company looking for bloggers to review physical books, please do get in touch. I currently work with the following companies and am looking at expanding my connections.

 

All others, if you have a book you think I might enjoy, please include the following pieces of information in your email:

  • Your name and company if you are working for an author
  • Author
  • Title
  • Date of Publication
  • Publisher
  • Synopsis of the book
  • What form of the book you would be providing i.e. physical copy, eBook
  • Links to Amazon, Good Reads, the author’s website, or other sites which may be useful

 

Please keep in mind the following things before getting in touch:

  • I do not accept all book review requests.
  • It will be clearly stated where I got the book from, and that it was sent to me for review.
  • All opinions of the book will be my own and will be 100% honest.

Have a product that you think I might enjoy?

I am very open to reviewing complimentary products, whether they’ve been around for a long time or they’re something new. They must be of interest to me and This Splendid Shambles, so please familiarise yourself with the topics and themes of the website before contacting me.
