Loving books means having way too many, and yet not enough at the same time. And with many books, comes the need for many bookshelves.

I love houses with lots of bookshelves, and one with none makes me concerned about the people’s well-being. Let’s not get into that.

One of the things I’m most excited about when it comes to my future house is what kinds of bookshelves I can have. There are so many incredible ideas out there; yes, some are crazy, but there are some that I would actually love to have in my home. These, for example:

Tree :: Tea Cups :: American Map :: Book Wall and Seat :: Mint Vertical Shelf :: Fireplace

Bookshelves with personality. That’s what these are.

I really like the map idea, though I’m not from America, so a New Zealand map might be nice. And yes, that last one is from my house. I really like the fireplace-bookshelf look. I hope my future house is big enough to have one of each of these, or something similar.

Yes, that would be amazing. After looking through my pins to find my favourite bookshelves, I think I like this one the most. It’s one that I would definitely use a lot, and it would be put on any wall.

Are you a bibliophile? Does your place have a billion bookshelves?
