It’s not often that I jump on tag bandwagons in the blogging world – not so much these days, I mean – but this one was too good not to take up. Sophie over at NaNaWintour posted her Gilmore Girls Tag post, and it was so much fun to read that I had to jump right on in. As I was reading her answers, I knew that mine would be very similar, but I thought this would be fun anyway.

With the revival of Gilmore Girls in a few short weeks, Sophie comments in her post that it’s the perfect time to do this. I couldn’t agree more. I’m so looking forward to Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and can’t wait till the Netflix release! But more on that soon! Here are the questions from the GG Tag:

What was your first introduction to Gilmore Girls?

I still quite young when Gilmore girls came out, so it wasn’t on my radar until it had nearly finished. It was one of those shows that I always meant to watch, but never quite got around to it. That is until about 2 years ago. My friend loved Gilmore Girls and often talked about it, so one day I went over to her house and we watched Season 1 episodes 1 – 6. I took it home and watched the rest of it. And then I went out and I bought Seasons 1-7. It has taken me a little while to get through all 7 seasons though, as I’ve been watching other things too, but just this month I finally finished. My.Goodness. What a journey.

Who is your favourite character and why?

Lorelai Gilmore. She’s crazy but intelligent, she’s care free but has some rules. She’s witty and funny, and knows her movie and pop culture references like Rory knows her books. I love her relationship with Rory, and with Sookie as well. I also love Michelle. He’s just so brilliant and everything he says is gold.

Are you on Team Jess, Dean or Logan? Why?

Team Jess. Although after a little while Logan grew on me a little. But Team Jess all the way. I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that he was one of my friend’s favourite characters, so I was already geared up to love him. Or maybe because he’s played by Milo Ventimiglia. Or because he’s Jess. He’s just Jess. Whatever the reason, and while he (like all people and characters) have their flaws, I think he’s the best for Rory.

How many of the books have you read from Rory’s reading list?

The list of the books mentioned in the show can be found here on Buzzfeed. I learnt a few things going through this list: 1. that I’ve read more than I thought I was going to have read, and 2. just how little of the classics I’ve read. It’s quite bad. Rory might just be ashamed of me. I have, however, read 49/399 so considering that I haven’t read many classics, I’m quite happy with this number.

Would you rather; only be allowed to drink coffee, or never be able to eat Pop Tarts again?

Easy: only allowed to drink coffee. I can go without Pop Tarts. And I feel like you could have different versions of coffee, right? Black, with milk, cold, hot, with cream, a big mug, a shot. The list goes on.

Who is your least favourite character?

There are very few characters that I don’t like on Gilmore Girls. Taylor Doose is probably the winner though. Just … why, Taylor? Why? You make life hard. For everyone. Other characters who would be up there would be Emily Gilmore. I know, I know. She has her redeeming qualities and you can tell me that all you want, I just don’t like her very much at all.

Are you on Team Luke, or Team Christopher?

Team Luke. And anyone who says otherwise is wrong. I know that Christopher is Rory’s dad, and the guy has his moments, but between him and Luke? Sorry, Luke. Always. (Also, Luke serves coffee whenever you want it. ‘Nuff said.)

If you went to Stars Hollow, where would you most like to visit?

The Gilmore’s House, The Dragonfly Inn, the gazebo (because it’s so pretty!), Luke’s for coffee and food…all the food. And just a peak in at Taylor’s sweet shop, because while Taylor is annoying, candy is candy, my friends. Oh and maybe Mrs. Kim’s place, because I feel like there may be treasures in that chaos.

What would you steal from the Gilmore Girls set?

Rory’s books. And the ‘Luke’s’ sign, and Sookie’s kitchen at the Dragonfly. Like, the whole kitchen. Maybe actually the entire building. Can you steal a building from set?

Finally, what do you hope happens in the revival?

To be completely honest, I just want everyone to be happy. I want Luke and Lorelai together. Always. Don’t take that away from me, Netflix. Oh the feels.

Thanks, Sophie, for starting this Gilmore Girls Tag! It was great fun writing my answers, even if they were quite similar to yours! If you guys want to do this tag, check out Sophie’s post and get to answering!
