Tinyskinscribbles stole my heart. Or my wrist. Either or.

It’s not often that I’m drawn in by Instagram adverts. But I was super glad that I clicked into this one. Tinyskinscribbles is an Auckland-based company that designs and produces stunning temporary tattoos. Zanda and Kyle are the two-person team behind this stunning endeavour, and their designs could not be any cuter.

Update: They are no longer in business, but check out the beautiful tattoos below!

I love their back story and their reason for creating Tinyskinscribbles:

“Tinyskinscribbles was born from the ideas of self-expression and freedom from permanence. What if you could wear your heart on your sleeve? Literally. We were moved by the notion of being able to wear a new message or design whenever we wanted that reflected our mood or current state of mind. Like a lot of people we loved the idea of one day getting a real tattoo but didn’t want to commit to one design forever. So we embraced the idea of wearing something for up to a week at a time or removing it completely and choosing something else. Of course the great thing about our tattoos is we give you the option of no tattoo at all. The freedom is yours.” – From website

There have been so many times when I’ve thought exactly that – I want to get a tattoo. But my issue is always what I would get, and where I would get it. I love that these beautiful temporary tattoos are just that – temporary.

I’ve discovered that, while I always thought that I would be constantly distracted by a tattoo that I could see all the time (on my wrist, for example) that over the course of a week I got used to it. I no longer saw it out of the corner of my eye and freaked out. I love that.

My first little pack was a free sample to try them out, but after using just one – the rabbit – I went and I ordered a pack because they’re so beautiful.

The website says the will last 2-5 days. At day 5 my rabbit did start running astray, but only the ears showed any signs of coming off. It wasn’t until the evening of day 6 that I took the whole thing off.

As well as being able to have a different tattoo every week, it’s made me realise that I could definitely get a real one and wouldn’t get sick of it.

What do you guys think of these Tiny Skin Scribbles?
