Welcome to the BoMoSh!
The BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 3
- Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
- These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
- Thorn by Intisar Khanani
Well, I did not do well this month. I think it was Thorn that really slowed me down. It wasn’t that I didn’t like it, I just found it very difficult to get into and it lagged a lot in places. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han was enjoyable, but not as much as the first in the time, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, but I am glad I picked it up after P.S I Stil Love You and finally finished the series. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner was my pick for Blogger’s Bookshelf Book Club for June (‘an author who shares your initials’ – in this case AK), and I really liked it! I’ve been meaning to read it for years, so I’m glad I chose it.
Movies
Finally watched P.S I Still Love You, and I have thoughts.
Shows
As well as finishing the latest season of Roswell: New Mexico (which I’m actually really enjoying despite being a big fan of the original one), I began season 2 of The Politician, which recently came out on Netflix ANZ, and have continued with Single Parents, which is silly but also highly entertaining. The recent addition to my TV watching (something I don’t actually do that much of, I have to point out; usually just an episode of something in the evening), is We Bare Bears Season 1, which is on Netflix ANZ. Yes, that’s that show with the grizzly, the panda and the polar bear who walk around stacked on top of one another. And I have to say, there are very few shows that I actually laugh out loud in … and, surprisingly, this one of them. How can an animated show that’s only about 10 minutes long, about three bare bears be so entertaining?!
What have you read and watched this past month?
