One of my favourite books this year has been Dorothy Must Die, by Danielle Paige. You can read my review about it here. I just loved it, and I’m excited about the next one (which doesn’t come out until next year, unfortunately). I also really love the cover of the book, and thought it would be a fun, but dark, design on my nails. Here’s what I came up with:
I didn’t clean them up as well as I should have – lack of time suddenly – but I did quite like them. I need to get my stamping straighter, as you can see where it went a little wobbly at the tips of the ring finger there. I was going to do the shoes as well, but I tried and failed so drastically it was embarrassing. So I scrapped that idea. The blue should have been darker, but I only had a light blue in stamping polish. For the bow, I did the thumb the same as the ring finger, but then filed in the background with black to create the bow shape. My right was exactly the same as the left, so I didn’t bother with a picture.
