Oh, hello book haul number 60!
I must have a problem, right? But at least it’s books and not some other addiction…eh? I have to confess though, the books in this book haul haven’t even made it to my shelves yet. They’re books from my mega haul from the Barfoot and Thompson (formally ASB) 24 Hour Book Sale that happened last November, and I had to do a major re-do of my bookshelves in order to fit the others in…and these ones haven’t quite made it off the floor yet. Eek. Sorry, books!
At least they’re hanging out together, though.

Mercy Me, by Jodi Picoult | Me Before You, by JoJo Moyes
Every so often I’ll add yet another Jodi Picoult book to my collection. I think I’m only missing three or four now (including her latest books, Great Small Things and A Spark of Light), and though I haven’t read them all yet, I imagine myself getting older and probably moving away from Young Adult a bit more (gasp!) and into more ‘grown up’ books. Maybe I won’t. But every so often I’ll pick up a Picoult book and it’s always well worth it.
Finally finally got a copy of Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. I’ve been meaning to read this book for years, and then the movie came out and I wanted to read the book before watching it…but that hasn’t happened yet. And then the movie edition of the book was the only one I could find and I really didn’t want that cover. Book fairs are where you find the good covers, my friends.

These Broken Stars, by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner | Stolen by Melissa De La Cruz and Michael Johnston | Small Steps, by Louis Sachar
These three are books that I’ve seen around the place and thought would be fun additions to the collection. Small Steps is another book by the wonderful Louis Sachar, who wrote one of my favourite books, Holes. Stolen is the second in a series, the other of which is called Frozen, and while I haven’t read it, one day I will. Hopefully. These Broken Stars I’ve heard good things about so when it was sitting there for $2 I couldn’t walk past it.

The Choice, by Nicholas Sparks | Two by Two, by Nicholas Sparks
While I haven’t read a Nicholas Sparks book in years, I always try and pick them up when I see them. I’ve seen a lot of the movie adaptations, but really want to read some more of the books. I really enjoyed The Choice movie, so looking forward to picking up this book sometime. It’s quite short too, at just over 300 pages, so it wouldn’t take long to get through.

Yes Please, by Amy Poehler
I actually have a Kindle copy of this book and I started reading it a few years back but because it was on the Kindle I gave up. I definitely want to read this one though, and am happy to have the physical copy waiting for me!
Stay tuned for another book haul coming soon!
