I feel like you either love Greek mythology or you never think about it, ever. I’m definitely in the Former Group. I did Classics at high school and into University, and even got top of my class in school (brag brag). I love retellings, adaptations, movies, TV shows, books, and even visiting ancient sites in Greece was incredible. And of course, finding books with Greek mythology in them or focused on is definitely my jam.

There seems to be a resurgence of Greek or Roman or classics in general coming through books recently, so I thought I’d compile a list of books with some of those themes. They’re either direct adaptations of myths and legends, based on myths and legends or have some sort of similarity to them.

This is, of course, not an exclusive list.

There are hundreds and hundreds, thousands even, of books with Greek mythology in them or translated stories. These are just some to get you started. They’re a range of genres and age-ranges, and also dates. I’ve found some that are quite new in the last few years, and then some that are more than 10 years old.
