When we were about 16 years old, my friend bought a scooter. She had recently got her Restricted licence, which here in NZ means that you can drive your car by yourself without a licensed driver, but you weren’t allowed to take passengers (unless they’ve been licensed for at least 2 years), or allowed out between 10pm and 6am. It also means you’re allowed to drive a scooter around. So my friend bought a scooter. And there was no way I was even going to attempt to ride it. Give me a car any day.

But I love this picture by Frank McKenna on Unsplash. I loves the city lights and the busy feel you can just see seeping off it. There’s colour and there’s lights and sounds, and it’s so easy to imagine yourself there. I’ve picked out some of my favourite colours and shades from this image, and hope that they inspire you, and/or aid you in any projects that you may be doing.
