Quick and easy DIY blackboard pots
I can’t remember when I first discovered that you could buy paint that turned whatever you spread it on into a blackboard. “Incredible! Insane! It can’t be done! It’s a trick” I’m sure I thought as I scrolled through amazing DIY and craft ideas centred around blackboard-everything. But it’s true! It’s not a trick!
I guess I never stopped to think about how they made blackboards. It’s not something that I sat and thought about, I have to be honest. But ever since I discovered that I could make my own blackboard/chalkboard things, that’s one of the only things I’ve been thinking about.
So I did it. I created my first blackboard creation.

They were so super easy, a 2-year-old could make them. I bought Matt Quick Dry Blackboard Paint from Wilko for Β£3.60 and also these two cute terracotta pots, also from Wilko for a whopping great big bank-breaking 40p each.
I would have bought 3 (I like odd numbers), but they only had 2 in this small size, and I didn’t want the next size up (let’s not go crazy, guys). Then all I needed was a paintbrush, and some chalk, both of which I had.

I don’t think I need to explain how I did it. It’s pretty self-explanatory. But so much fun! I’ve put some paintbrushes into one pot and have yet to decide what to put into the other one, but I love how they turned out.
