I actually bought this book a few years ago now, but I realised I never shared about it. Like the description says, it’s this great book with heaps of cool ideas for your photography. Sue Venables, the author, writes some great tips and tricks for using your DSLR camera in new ways, and gives some awesome ideas for more creative pictures. There are several different sections, and even one where you can make your own accessories to take even cooler pictures…like this one, for example:

The instructions are super easy to follow, and the pictures throughout the book are beautiful. I love all the creative ideas in Photocrafty, but I thought I’d just share some of my favourite ones with you.

Love love love these ideas. I keep meaning to try out more of these techniques, especially the ones that involve making things first. But if you’re looking for a fun photography book that will give you heaps of neat ideas with easy to follow instructions and pretty pictures, grab a copy of this book. It’s great fun! You don’t have to DSLR camera, either, as a lot of the ideas are for taking photos of specific things, which you can easily do with a pocket-sized camera, or even your phone.
I feel better with myself for finally sharing this with you guys. Phew. Anyway! Let me know if you do check it out, and what project or techniques you take on!
