Each year around about this time, I like to share with you guys 5 of my favourite reads from the year past. Last year (well, 2014) I read some great books, and the year before I shared some too. 2015 brought with it another lot of undiscovered stories for me to delve on in to, and even though I didn’t get through as many as I had hoped, there were some books that have made it to my ‘favourite books of all time’ list, so that’s pretty great!
Here are my top 5 fave books of 2015:
Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell
After reading Eleanor and Park by RR, I knew I had to read others. I read Attachments the year before, and while Landline is on my shelf, I haven’t read it yet. I picked up Fangirl later in the year and it’s now one of my favourite books. I love everything about, but partially that it’s sort of two books in one – Cath’s story, and also Simon and Baz’s story. I also loved how it was about a geeky gril, and I think in many ways Cath reminded me of me. Just not the getting a boyfriend bit. Perhaps something to work on this year, yeah?
Carry On, by Rainbow Rowell
Oh my word. Another fantastic RR novel. Carry On is the book that Cath in Fangirl writes, and it’s everything I hoped it would be and more. I read the majority of this book in one day because I couldn’t quite get enough of it. I’m super sad it’s over, and while my Tweet about not being able to get it out of my head got a like from Rainbow Rowell herself (yes, still buzzing about that), I would definitely read it again.

That one heart there? That’s Rowell. Nailed it.
The Bone Season, by Samantha Shannon
I hadn’t heard of this book until I found it in a sale bin, and I’m so glad I picked it up. This was a such a great book and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Crown of Midnight, by Sarah J Maas
The second in the Throne of Glass series, Maas created another amazing story, and while this was one of my favourites this year, I still haven’t read the 3rd and 4th book yet. It’s literally sitting in a bag next to me right now as I type this though, and it will be read before summer comes to an end.
Let’s Get Lost, by Adi Alsaid
This was such a fun book. I love the way Alsaid wrote it, using the main character as the connecting point between all these other characters who had heir own stories. She was a protagonist wandering through their lives, stirring things up in the best ways and continuing on her merry way. I loved it also, because it sort of like a road trip book, and that’s spectacular.
