This year, Auckland was suddenly home to Top Shop, and with word going around that Marks & Spencers is going to be gracing us with its presence, the big brands are finding their way to little NZ. Included in the line up is none other than H&M.

While there are over 400 stores world wide, it’s taken them since opening in 1947 to bring the store to New Zealand. Which is fine. We’re used to being a little behind the rest of the world for some of these sorts of things. For those of us who have been (or lived) overseas, then we get to discover shops like H&M, grow to really like them, and then only to have that ripping feeling as we leave them behind (New Look UK, I’m mainly looking at you). But finally H&M is coming to Sylvia Park here in Auckland, and while I’m not a big shopper, I am looking forward to it.

October 1st is the opening day. Yes, friends. That’s in 3 days. So to celebrate the opening, I thought I’d take a look at some of things on offer in the Australian stores, assuming that it’ll be similar.
