Can you even believe that? It’s been 20 years (on the 26th of June) since the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Imagine if that one book had never been published? Imagine. Can you? I can’t.
All aspects of the Harry Potter world are such big parts of my life, even two decades after it’s release.
The books have been read multiple times (often once a year), the movies have been marathoned, the Sorting Hat has sorted, the Pop Vinyl Figures have been purchased, plays have been acted out, parties have been thrown, free printables have been created, new additions to the HP world have been embraced, cross-stitch patterns have been posted, challenges have been completed, illustrated books have been devoured, wands have been DIYd, themed jewellery has been made, Studio Tours have been attended, and a whole lot of Potter Puppet Pals have been shared with exasperated friends.
It’s been the best 20 years, and I can’t imagine a world with HP in it. And it’s all thanks to a mother on a train from Manchester to King’s Cross in the 90s. Dear J.K, thank you.
To celebrate the 20 year anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, I’m hosting a massive giveaway! This is the biggest giveaway I think I’ve ever done, and it’s very exciting! Please read all the rules below, and share with your friends!
Rules for the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Giveaway
- Open internationally
- Giveaway runs for 3 weeks, and ends on the 3rd of July 2017, midnight NZST (2 weeks prior to anniversary, till 1 week after)
- When the giveaway ends, I will randomly select a winner using Raflecopter. They will be contacted by email. They will have 3 days to respond (until Thursday 8th July). If no response, I will draw another winner.
How Raflecopter works
If you’re unfamiliar with Raflecopter, then it’s super simple.
Below is a widget with the giveaway and prizes listed on it. There are a range of entry options, and every option you participate in will enter you into the draw a certain amount of times, like names in a hat. For example, visiting my Facebook page will get you 2 names in the hat, Follow on Bloglovin’ will get you 4, and every daily Tweet you send will get you an extra name in the hat.
Make sense? There are plenty of options, so even if you’re not on Twitter, or Bloglovin’, you can still participate. The joys of Raflecopter is that you can pick and choose how you enter. If you can do them all – fantastic! If you can’t, there are plenty of options to get your name in.
So what could you be winning?
1x Your Choice of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Hogwarts House Book
Even if you already have the book, it’s probably battered and bruised from being loved on over the years, amiright? Right. And because it’s an exciting year, you’ll want to mark it forever by grabbing a copy of the Bloomsbury 20th Anniversary Hogwarts House editions right? Lucky for you, if you win you’ll get to pick which one you want!

Once you decide which one you’d like, I’ll be purchasing it from the Book Depository and having it sent straight to your door! Can’t decide which one you’d like because you’re in multiple houses? Take a closer look: Gryffindor – Hufflepuff – Slytherin – Ravenclaw
