Last week I shared with you Book Haul #31 and mentioned that although I have been trying not too buy too many books, all of these were bought with book vouchers that I was blessed with this past month or so. While last week’s haul had a few books from the opshop in it, all these books were bought at The Warehouse in a ‘buy one get one half rpice’ sale, and then I managed to find one in the sale bin on the way out of the shop. Score.
It’s a similar theme this week. Last week there was a bit of a range of genres going on, but these 5 books are all young adult fantasy, so there’s a bit of a theme going on. Three of the five are part of bigger series, and the remaining 2 are ones that I’ve seen on Good Reads and thought sounded interesting.Anyway, let’s get into it.

The Shadowhunters’ Codex, by Cassandra Clare and Joshua Lewis
Being a huge fan of the Shadowhunter world, I thought it only appropriate that I buy the Shadowhunter’s Codex. It’s the Codex from the stories, but with notes and scribbles throughout it written by the characters in the Moral Instruments series – Clary, Simon and Jace. It reminds me of some of the Harry Potter text books, which have Harry, Ron and Hermione’s scribbles through them.
The Assassin’s Blade, Sarah J Maas
While I still haven’t read the 3rd and 4th book in the Throne of Glass series, I knew I had to grab this when it was in the sale. I loved the first two in the series, and have only heard amazing things about the 3rd and 4th, so it stands to reason this will also be amazing. really must start the 3rd book.
Dorothy Must Die Stories, Danielle Paige
Cast your mind back to last year, will you. I read Dorothy Must Die and loved it. Then I read the second book, The Wicked Will Rise, and enjoyed it, but not as much as the first one. This book was only $5 in the sale bin, so I thought I’d grab it and have a go. It’s the prequel to Dorothy Must Die, and it’s quite short, so it could be a weekend read.

Firstlife, by Gena Showalter
This was a book I had seen on Good Reads but not really planned on buying it. Until the sale. It’s amazing what a book sale will make you buy. But when I saw it, I recognised it, and read the back cover and decided it sounded like my kind of book. I’ll let you know what I think when I eventually read it!
Snow Like Ashes, by Sara Raasch
Another one I hadn’t really planned on buying, but remembered it from Good Reads. It sounds so great and I’m definitely looking forward to this one!
Another book haul done and dusted. Until the next one!
Bought any books recently? Read any good ones? Want to share them with me?
