Welcome to another BoMoSh post!
If you missed last month’s post, then in short, the BoMoSh is a new post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 2.5
- American Gods, by Neil Gaiman
- Lord of Shadows, by Casandra Clare
- Started When Dimple Met Rishi, by Sandhya Menon
Only really 2.5 books this month. Not that great for me, but American Gods took a long time, mostly because I wasn’t really into it. Read more in my review on BB coming soon! Lord of Shadows took a while too, but not because I didn’t enjoy it. I loved it, like most of Clare’s books, but life really happened this month, so didn’t have much sit-down-and-just-read-time. There will be a review coming to the blog soon, so look out for that.
Movies | 5
- Moana
- Tarzan
- Penelope
- Kate and Leopold
- The Shack
I saw so many movies this past month! My friends and I had a movie night, where we watched a couple, and I had the house to myself one weekend, so I made use of the lounge space. The Shack was beautiful. Beautiful. Needless to say we cried our way through that at the cinema. There’s been a lot of controversy around the story every since the book came out in 2007, and even though I don’t agree with some aspects of it, it was still an incredibly moving movie that definitely touched me. Stunning.
Shows
June was my catch up month. I finished season 3 of The Flash, and the Prison Break reboot (which was awesome, by the way). I’ve started catching up on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt too. Doctor Who finishes in a week’s time which is a bit sad, and Shadowhunters S2 Part 2 came out this month so I have been also watching that.
What have you read and seen this past month? What’s been your favourite book, movie or show?
