It happened again. But in my defence (I know I know, I always have an excuse), I did have a $50 Whitcoulls voucher that I was given, so basically these books were free. Looking at them again, I don’t think I paid for than $20 for all of them combined. Score. Some of these books have been out for a while, and have received raved reviews, and others are very new. Here’s what I got this time…

Noughts & Crosses, by Malorie Blackman
Knife Edge, by Malorie Blackman
Checkmate, by Malorie Blackman
So I’ve heard amazing things about this series, and have been meaning to pick up the first book, Noughts and Crosses, for years now. But it’s one of those series that I have just missed so far, so when I was given my voucher, I thought it was high time to check this series out. I bought books 1 and 2 with the voucher, and just as I was double checking the sale bin before I bought them, I found book 3 for only $10. Sweet! Here’s hoping I actually enjoy it!

Magonia, by Maria Dahvana Headley
While this book only came out this year, it’s all I’ve been seeing around the place recently. I’m actually reading this at the moment, so be sure to look out for a review of it coming soon!

The Fire Sermon, by Francesca Haig
When I picked up this book in the store and read the back, it seemed super familiar. I couldn’t figure out why, but it was only after I looked it up on Good Reads that I discovered that the only reason I found it familiar was because I had added to my ‘To Read’ list just recently. Looking forward to this one!

See Me, by Nicholas Sparks
This was given to me by Hachette Publishing, in excahnge for an honest review. Look out for that in the near future!

Never Always Sometimes, by Adi Alsaid
I really liked Let’s Let Lost, by Adi Alsaid, so when I saw that he had written another book, it was definitely one that I wanted to read. While I didn’t get this book with my voucher, I did get it in a ‘Buy 1 get one half price’ sale.

The Jewel, by Amy Ewing
When I first saw this book a while ago, I thought it was a part of the Selection series, until of course, I saw who it was by. Nope. Just had a similar styled cover. This was the other book I found in ‘Buy 1 get one half price’ sale.

All Fall Down, by Ally Carter
Another one that I’ve seen around for a while now, and so I grabbed it up when I found it in a sale bin for about $4.

Have you read any of these?
What did you think?
Or had any book hauls recently?
