November not only means NaNoWriMo, mid spring/fall (depending on your hemisphere), the eleventh month of the year, a time to think about the upcoming Christmas season or the fact that I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of yet another year. It’s also the month where the huge book sale happens at the ASB Stadium here in Auckland. last year, as you may recall, I bought about 43 book. This year? I only bought 37. But! I got a huge set of books, and each book had like 3 novels within in. So it counts for more, right?

These past few weeks, and another to come, I’m sharing with you guys what books I bought at the book fair, and while one is a short list, they’re still books I’m looking forward to reading.

Keeping Faith
Picture Perfect
Salem Falls
The Storyteller
House Rules
all by Jodi Picoult
I’m a bit of a sucker for a good Jodi Picoult book. I managed to find all of these in the sale, and I didn’t have any of them already. I may keep a list with me at all times of JP books that I already have. You may ask ‘yes, but have you read them all?’ and the honest answer would be ‘no’. But I’m working on it! I’ve read about 10.

The Cuckoo’s Calling, by Robert Galbraith
Whom we all know is not-so-secretly J.K. Rowling. I haven’t read any of her non-Harry Potter stuff yet, but I’m definitely keen to check it out.

Sophie’s World, by Jostein Gaarder
Now I actually have a copy of this book already, but this one was in far better condition, so I grabbed it. For only $2, why not, right?

Season of the Witch, by Natash Mostert
Had never heard of this book until the sale. Thought the back sounded interesting, but on further research online, it may not be my kind of thing. I might eventually read it, and who knows? Maybe it’s great. But I’m not rushing to read it.

Look out for another Book Haul in the New Year! Can’t believe it’s the last week of December already! In the following week or so, I’ll be taking a look back on 2015 (like most of the world), and be sharing some round ups, some lists, some ideas for 2016, and more! I hope you have a fabulous end of December, and I’ll be back in a few days.
