“A garden. I’ve stolen a garden.”

I grew up watching (and re-watching) The Secret Garden. The version I watched was released in 1993, and is super magical. Just thinking about it makes me want to go hunting for our VHS copy. I never even realised till recently that Maggie Smith is in. Funny how you don’t really notice the famous people in movies as a kid; you’re so engrossed in the story that the people playing the characters you love are glazed over.

When I found out that Fandom of the Month Club were doing a Secret Garden month, I was super excited. My excitement was only amplified when it arrived on my doorstep. That’s a slight lie – I arrived home after being away on holiday to it sitting waiting for me inside, but you know what I mean. I really love the pieces in this box; check it out!

Stash bag, information card and magnet

Like every month, there’s a great little zipper bag that reads “If you look the right way, you’ll see that the whole world is a garden”, an information card which has all the subscription box details on the reverse, and this beautiful magnet.

Clear pressed flower bangle

I love this; it’s so pretty. The only (major) bummer is that it doesn’t fit at all. It won’t go over my knuckles (or my teen sister’s either … I think we just have wide hands?) which is super annoying because it’s so pretty! Will have to find someone who might enjoy it.

Key necklace

This has two sides, one which reads “If you look the right way, you’ll see that the whole world is a garden”. This is really cool and works well both ways.

Flower material earrings

These are so beautiful! I’ve already been wearing them quite a bit and had lots of comments on them. I suspect everyone will have slightly different ones, as it’ll depend wear the material sits on the studs.

Embroidery flower ring

Again, so pretty! I really like the design of this ring and I’m super pleased it’s an adjustable one too.

So I think the main word that comes to mind with December’s Fandom of the Month Club box is pretty. Everything is so pretty and I’m so pleased with it! Great work, team!
