Welcome to the BoMoSh!

The BoMoSh stands for Books, Movies and Shows, and that’s exactly what we talk about on these monthly posts. I share what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

December was not a great create story-consuming month for me.

There was so many things happening this year that movie watching, tv show catching-ups and *gasp* book reading were put on the back burner for multiple days in a row. In fact, I think December was the worst month for book reading, and that’s sad. But I won’t go on. Check out the last BoMoSh post of the year!

Books | 4

  • Muse of Nightmares, by Laini Taylor
  • My True Love Gave To Me, edited by Stephanie Perkins
  • A Sorrow Fierce and Falling, by Jessica Cluess
  • Tales of Beedle the Bard Illustrated Edition, by JK Rowling and Chris Riddell

See? Pretty slow going! I actually stated Muse of Nightmares in November, but only finished it last week. It was pretty long, but also time. So little of it. My True Love Gave To Me was our December Blogger’s Bookshelf Book Club pick, and was a collection of 12 Chrsitmassy stories. I got Tales of Beedle the Bard for Christmas from my friend and proceeded to read it that afternoon. Chris Riddell is one of my favourite illustrators and this book is so perfect.

Movies | 3

  • Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Elf
  • The Greatest Showman
  • How to Make Love like a Gentlemen (Netflix)

You’ll notice is this more than usual. Holidays bring with it Christmas movies and relaxing time to actually enjoy a movie or two…or three.

Shows

Again, time has been limited. But I’ve managed to keep up with Riverdale, continued watching Orphan Black season 5 (which I had forgotten I hadn’t seen yet), and binge watched a bunch of Brooklyn 99 episodes with the family over the Christmas season.

Next Month…

Books – I’ve just picked up Dry by Neal Shusterman, and I’m also hoping to read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas, and also the latest Cassandra Clare novel, Queen of Air and Darkness.

Movies – I’m sure I’ll get in a few movies, seeing as I’m on holiday until the 14th of January, but we’ll see.

Shows – I have a few shows that I need to catch up on, and hopefully I’ll finish Orphan Black season 5 this month too.

Drop me a comment if you have any suggestions for books, movies or shows.

What have you read and watched this month?
