Blimey, ‘Arry, we’re up to book haul 61!
We are indeed, and we shall continue in this fashion until the day this little blog comes to an end (something I hope it will never do!). But we all like getting book mail, amiright? Right. So this collection of titles in this book haul are mostly from publishing companies who have gifted me review copies to read. Thank you! Some of these are sequels to books I’ve read in the past and particularly liked (here’s looking at you, Shadowhunter tome), and others I had actually never heard of until I spotted them in a catalogue.
Let’s get into it!

One the Come Up, by Angie Thomas
One of the most highly anticipated reads of 2019, I was given this ARC by Walker Books Aus, and it was just as amazing as Angie Thomas’ first book, The Hate U Give. You can read my full review here to see what I thought about it.
Mosquitoland, by David Arnold
This was my pick for the Blogger’s Bookshelf book club in January. The theme was ‘road trip novel’, and I’d seen this one around the place before and thought it was the perfect time to have a read. Alas, it didn’t quite live up to the good things I’d heard about, but it was still a fun read.

The Binding, by Bridget Collins
I had never heard of this one until I spotted it in the HarperCollins NZ catalogue, and I’m so glad it arrived on my doorstep! I loved this books; it was a really interested take on books themselves, and follows the story of Emmett Farmer as he becomes an apprentice to a Binder. You’ll have to read my full review for more details, but man it was a good book!
The Wicked King, by Holly Black
We return to the land of faeries with the Faerie Queen herself, Holly Black. Thanks to Allen and Unwin NZ I received this sequel to The Cruel Prince which I really enjoyed. The Wicked King was another great book, and you can check out the full book review here.

Queen of Air and Darkness, by Cassandra Clare
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, or listen to our Rants and Reviews podcast, then may know just how long it took me to get through this 880 page book. Way too long, my friends. Way.Too.Long. But thank you to Simon and Schuster Aus for the review copy; I did really enjoy it, despite the length!
And that’s that for book haul #61! I have another haul coming your way soon, so check back for that in the coming week!
Have you read any of these ones? What did you think?
