Book Haul #64

Here we are again for another book haul!

I realise we’re up to number 64 and I’ve never actually checked in with you guys; do you actually enjoy seeing these books? I enjoy writing about them, so that’s a positive. Remember if you have any book suggestions that you think I might enjoy, pop a comment down below and let me know! (Not that I need more books, as evident by this post.)

This book haul is a mixture of publisher-given books and ones that I picked up on my overseas holiday recently.

In Real Life by Cory Doctorow and Jen Wang | The Near Witch, by Victoria Schwab | Truly Devious, by Maureen Johnson

These three books I bought from the wonderful Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been three times now and it’s just as magical every single visit. I couldn’t walk past these books when I was browsing (though I wanted nearly all the YA section!), and In Real Life is signed, too!

Broken Throne, by Victoria Aveyard | The Red Scrolls of Magic, by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu

These books I received from Hachette NZ and Harper Collins, respectively. Broken Throne is actually a collection of stories in the Red Queen series by Aveyard, and I’ve already read two of them; they combined the two stories in Cruel Crown with three new ones to create Broken Throne. The Red Scrolls of Magic is the first in a new series (seriously, Clare churns them out!!) following Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood, and I enjoyed this wee excursion in Europe that the pair had.

The Quite Nice and Fairly Accurate Good Omens Script Book, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

As well as a line-by-line, as-you’ll-see-it-on-the-screen script, this book is full of deleted scenes and other titbits of the book-to-screen process from Gaiman. Has anyone seen the show yet?
