Welcome to the BoMoSh!

The BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

Books | 3 and a bit

  • The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson (reread)
  • Loki: Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi Lee
  • Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (reread)
  • Partway through Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness

Not that great, number wise this month. But it was really fun rereading The Name of the Star for Blogger’s Bookshelf Book Club July theme: a book with a map in it, and it was also a double whammy as it was on my Vow to Reread list from the start of the year. I finally read Loki and loved it, and I did a reread of Twilight in preparation for the release of Midnight Sun on the 4th of August.

Movies | 3

  • Ocean’s 11
  • Ocean’s 12
  • Ocean’s 13

I think it’s quite evident that we had a bit of an Oceans marathon. The only one we didn’t watch, as you can see, was the new one, Ocean’s 8, as it wasn’t free on Neon. I had forgotten how great these movies were until re-watching this past month. Has anyone seen Ocean’s 8? What did you think?

Shows

I’ve been catching up on Modern Family this month, as my ‘short show’, while also starting Supernatural season 12 (yup I’m behind). I’ve been contemplating watching Cursed on Netflix, though I know it’s based on a book and even if you’ve only been around the blog for a short period of time, you’re probably aware I always try to read the book before the movie/show. It might not happen in this case though, and perhaps I should just watch it. Have you seen it? What did you think? Worth checking out?

What have you read and watched this past month?
