I mentioned the other day that I went to Waiheke Island the other weekend with a friend and her work. We went on a 3 vineyard winery tour, and had a lovely lunch with spectacular views. The last post was all about the wineries, so if you missed that, make sure you go and check it out.

I warned my friend before we went that I was going to be that person with the camera attached to their face the entire trip, and I was. Waiheke is a beautiful Island, and while it was a little overcast all day, it wasn’t raining! Woo! After the third and final winery, our shuttle/mini-bus driver took as around the back of the island on a mini tour on our way back to the ferry (via the gelato shop). The scenery was stunning, and the houses were often big and fancy looking. For today’s post, I thought I’d share some of the pictures I took along the way, from the mini-bus, and from the ferry too. Enjoy!

So there we have it! If you get the chance to go to Waiheke, do it! I’m not 100% sure on the price of the ferry over, but I have a feeling it’s around $35. If you’re planning a trip to NZ, and are spending some time in and around Auckland, head on over the island. It’s really is beautiful.
