Ah, the season of Christmas Markets and frantic shoppers. The other week we had a Victorian Christmas Market held in the centre of Gloucester, and we popped down to check it out on the last day.

It was horrendously busy, but people from all over the county were there, so it’s understandable. It was really neat; lots of stalls of gifts and food, and hot cider and mulled wine were being sold. there was a choir singing Christmas carols, and people dressed up in Victorian costumes wandering around scaring talking to children. Though the only thing we bought was a delicious doughnut thing, I did manage to get a couple of snaps without people in them (and it was hard, I can tell you!).

And then on the way back we passed the old prison, and though it was dark, I managed to get an okay picture. So there we have it, the Victorian Christmas Market in Gloucester. If you happen to be in the area next Christmas, check it out!

Have you been to a Christmas market this year?
