This past weekend my family and I went down to Taupo, which is the largest lake in New Zealand, and is in the middle of the North Island. My mum had to go down there for work, so we tagged along and stayed in a friend’s batch for the weekend. We’d stayed there before, but that was 10 years ago, so it was quite nice to go back.

On both the Saturday and the Sunday, we spent the morning playing Settlers of Catan (a game that I only learnt about 2 weeks ago, and taught to my dad and little sister over the weekend), and then in the afternoon we got out and about. Saturday saw us on a bit of a walk through New Zealand native bush, to a little lake in the hills.
