Turama – to Illuminate
“This July, Auckland’s inner city is set to be transformed in to an immersive art experience for Tūrama Festival – an enchanting world of light inhabiting Albert Park.
Tūrama Festival is a playground for the curious, featuring artworks created by our unique voices, ranging from performance to sculpture, imaginative illumination to interactive installation. Alongside the artworks you are invited to savour the delicious, healthy kai on offer whilst being entertained by a laid back lineup of our homegrown musical talent.” – Turama Festival website
Saturday night, after escaping from an Alice in Wonderland themed escape room on Lorne Street and eating dumplings at Elliott Stables, we headed up to Albert Park, one of Auckland‘s inner-city green spaces. What met us there was 25 stunning light art installations, and a mass of people enjoying all the interactive displays of wonder.

Each installation was very different from the last, and the amount of creativity and genius that went into every piece was exceptional. If it happens again (anyone know?), then make sure you head into the city to check it out!
Did you go to Turama? Which was your favourite installation?
