The Hamilton Gardens in Autumn are stunning
Last weekend I took a trip down to Hamilton to see a friend. Hamilton is about 1.5 hours away, perhaps a little more, so while I went for two days, it’s an easy day trip. While I was there, my friend took me to the Hamilton Gardens, which I had never been to before. They are incredible! Apparently, the Hamilton Gardens in autumn are just as beautiful as they would be in spring or summer.
I loved every second we were there, even though the weather was wet and windy and we did get rained on numerous times. I’m going to be sharing some of the garden pictures with you next week, but one of the things that weren’t hard to miss was the heavy autumnal feel. I was saying a few weeks ago that autumn hadn’t really arrived in Auckland yet, and while it has gotten a little chiller, and the leaves are starting to turn and fall, it definitely felt more like autumn/fall in Hamilton.
As well as taking a bunch of photos of the gardens themselves, I went a little mad just with snapping shots of the beautiful red and orange trees, in amongst the evergreens. Today I thought I’d share some of the pictures I took that afternoon.

The Hamilton Gardens in autumn are so beautiful! If you haven’t already taken a trip to the gardens, I highly recommend it! Even if it’s autumn.
