Welcome to the BoMoSh!
The BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 3 and a bit
- A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, narrated by Stephen Fry (audio)
- Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller
- Partway through Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
Well, I didn’t really read much at ALL this month. All these books (bar Shadow of Night which I’m ‘reading’ on my Kindle … slowly) are mega short stories and they should have only take a few hours really. But in reality, I’ve been working on a really neat project that I’m hoping to reveal soon, so I’ve been flat-out all day working on that and my actual jobs, so in the evenings I’ve just been so tired to read. So bad, eh!
Here’s hoping September will be better!
Movies | 4
- Sherlock Holmes
- Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows
- Shaun of the Dead
- Zombieland
Can you tell we were in Lockdown again for part of August? I don’t watch movies at home usually (much more of a TV show kinda gal), but everyone was home and watching movies most nights, so I joined in a couple of times. My sister was studying zombie films in Media at school, hence the two zombie films (one of which is gold (cough Shaun of the Dead cough) and other is a wreck.
Shows
I’ve been watching Season 2 of Umbrella Academy this month, as well as a catching up on Modern Family and re-watching the odd episode here and there from Parks and Recreation and also Community. So good. Even the 10th time around.
What have you read and watched this past month?
