Book Haul #22…

Last week I said ‘welcome back’ to book hauls. Hopefully after a few weeks of these posts there won’t be any for a while again…I’m trying to save money, and even bulk buys at the opshop/charity store/thrift store aren’t agreeing with my bank account. But never mind that for today! Today’s book haul is a bit of a mix of genres, but only a few were bought at full price. A lot of these books I got in sale bins for a couple of dollars. Here we go then…

Disruption, by Jessica Shirvington 
Bought: The Warehouse 
Hadn’t heard of this book, but it sounded like a fun YA, dystopian story…Also, the cover is pretty and gold. Not that I judge a book by it’s cover or anything…*awkward eyes* Ahem. Not at all.

Landline, by Rainbow Rowell
Bought: The Warehouse 
I was super excited when I saw this in the sale bin at the Warehouse! I had been wanting it for ages and ages, but I hadn’t found it cheap anywhere, and was hesitant about buying it full price…okay, and I wanted a copy that matched my other Rowell books. But when you see a cheap book that you’ve been wanting for ages, the publisher doesn’t matter. Haven’t read this yet, but looking forward to it!

Carnival of Souls, by Melissa Marr
Bought: The Warehouse 
Loved this book. I found this one in a sale bin too, and I saw so glad I picked it up! I hadn’t heard of it before I found it, but I had seen some of Marr’s other stories (though I haven’t read any others). You can read my review about it here.

The Wicked Will Rise, by Danielle Paige
Bought: The Warehouse 
When I saw this book at the Warehouse, I frantically picked up a copy (it was weird – it was like I had to get a hold of it even though there were heaps of copies on the shelf…) and paid full price for it. I loved the first book, and I thought it wasn’t out yet…it was. And I read it, and it was pretty awesome! Read the review here on Blogger’s Bookshelf. 

Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon
Bought: Mighty Ape
I’ve heard so many amazing things about this series, and when the TV show came out I wanted to watch it…but then I also wanted to read the books. So I bought the book so I could read it before I watched the show, and I haven’t done so yet. Sigh. So many books…

City of Heavenly Fire, by Cassandra Clare
Bought: Paperplus
You guys will know by now that this is one of my favourite series. I love it, and this is the only book I havn’t read yet. I didn’t buy it when it first came out because it came out in this huge paperback edition, and it was actually so much bigger than my others in the series (which are all beautifully the same, smaller size). So I refused to buy it, but knew that if I just waited a while, it would come out in the smaller version. My bestie said it wouldn’t and that I should just get it big and deal with it…but I waited. And then I found it in the right size. Booya!

Unrest, by Michelle Harrison
Bought: The Warehouse 
Another one I hadn’t heard of until I found it in the sale bin, but it sounds like YA ghost story, and it’s not a series (as far as I can see) so that’ll be nice to read a stand-alone book when a lot of the books I read are in series.

The Forsaken, by Lisa M. Stasse
Bought: The Warehouse  … I think?
Aaaand another unknown-to-me-before-I-saw-it book. But it’s the first in a series and it looks like a YA dystopian, post-apocalyptic story. I’ll let you know what it’s like when I’ve read it.

I’m trying to remember if I bought the majority of these books at the same time. All those ones with ‘The Warehouse’ attached…Hmm…I guess that’s what happens when I don’t post about these hauls straight away. Until next week!
