Book Haul #28

November not only means NaNoWriMo, mid spring/fall (depending on your hemisphere), the eleventh month of the year, a time to think about the upcoming Christmas season or the fact that I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of yet another year. It’s also the month where the huge book sale happens at the ASB Stadium here in Auckland. last year, as you may recall, I bought about 43 book. This year? I only bought 37. But! I got a huge set of books, and each book had like 3 novels within in. So it counts for more, right?

Here we go with book haul #2 from the sale, but #28 from when I started sharing my hauls…that was confusing and probably not need. I’ll leave it in so you can see my thought processing.

Prodigy, by Marie Lu
Pumped I found this book. I really enjoyed the first in this series, Legend, but haven’t read this the second yet.

Graceling, by Kristin Cashore
I actually have already read this book, and you can find a review for it here. I really liked it though, so when I saw it I grabbed it up. Must read it again to make the purchasing worthwhile.

Balthazar, by Claudia Gray
This is book is actually number 5 in the Evernight series. I now have books 1,2, and 5. Crazy, but that’s what happens when you try and get a series only in sale bins and book fairs. I am only half sure I’ve read the first one in this series, and to be honest I can’t remember if I liked it. But if I read the others and it turns out I’d rather give the series a miss, then no harm done. This book was only $2 and I can give a near-complete set to someone.

Red Rising, by Pierce Brown
Another book I was stocked to find. I’ve heard good things about this book, and it’s not even the second or fifth in a series! Score!

Matched and Reached, by Aly Condie
So, yes, I have read these both, and no, I didn’t find book number 2 (Crossed), but I thought it was pretty awesome finding these both there!
