Is it still a book haul if you get them all for free?

In the last book haul post I shared with you the biggest book haul of the year, not in terms of how many were featured in the post, but in terms of how many I bought all at once. Basically I discovered that I could get super cheap books from Book Outlet and then have them shipped within the US to my NZ Post YouShop, and therefore saving a bunch on postage. Kiwis, get yourself a YouShop postal address. It’s a dream.

But today I’m sharing a book haul that has 28 books in it. *GASP* I know. Which turns out to be the biggest book haul on the blog ever. While I tend to buy a bunch of books at the annual book sale that I go to in November (in which I blocked out the whole weekend for and make sure I’m not away), I share those in a few posts as to not overwhelm both you and myself. Today’s haul, however, is made up of 25 small books and 3 classics, so I thought we’d be playing it safe.

P.G. Wodehouse Collection

One of my colleagues brought in all her dad’s Wodehouse novels to part with. Obviously I snatched them all up straight away. I’ve only read one or two of these books, but I thought this was the prime opportunity to add them to my collection for future reading. Also, how pretty do they look all lined up like that?!

Charles Dickens Collection

I also managed to score this box-set of Charles Dickens. I’ve never read anything by Dickens (though I do know the stories, thanks to various movie adaptations that have been released over the years), so at least having them in the house is better than not having them at all, should I decide one to day to pick them up.
