Hot Glue Gun Mess is here!

When I heard/read that Mr.Kate had a book coming out, I was definitely looking forward to it. While she’s absolutely nuts, I’ve always enjoyed reading her blog and seeing what crazy things she’s making and talking about. I pre-ordered the book, which is called A Hot Glue Gun Mess, and last week it arrived.

It’s both an autobiography of insanely crazy awkward stories, and a great DIY book with a bunch of great ideas, ranging from home décor to beauty to hair styles. It’s a lot of fun, and it’s been a blast to flip through, reading the stories and seeing the cool ideas.

Each DIY is somehow connected to the story previously told, which is super fun. Some of the stories are most certainly cringe worthy and a little TMI, but if you’re familiar with Mr.Kate and her blog, YouTube Channel and general craziness, then it’s 100% her.

There are so many great ideas for DIYs, but I think my favourite idea in this book is the plastic geckos stuck to the back of a pair of high heels. I don’t really wear high heels (I think I have…2 pairs?), but I absolutely love this idea so so much, and I might actually have to make these…and then I would wear heels more.
