free Dobby printable in celebration of his birthday Harry Potter

The 28th of June is Dobby’s birthday.

That is, according to the internet. And the internet is always right, right? (Said nobody, ever.) Regardless if this is correct or not, we’re going to celebrate this wonderful Elf’s birthday, because if anyone deserves a birthday celebration it’s Dobby.

Dobby is one of those Harry Potter characters which I’m sure we all loved from day one. That moment we met him in Harry’s bedroom at Number 4 Privet Drive, hitting himself in the head with a lamp and hiding all HP’s mail, all the way to that horrifically sad moment at Shell Cottage.

While he didn’t get as much screen time as he did book time, Dobby was a true hero to Harry and his friends, and I’m sure you will all agree with me that his death was tragic. Guys, there were a lot of tears.

Last year we celebrated his birthday with a free printable, so this year I thought we’d continue one in a similar fashion.

Click the download link below and you’ll be taken to the printable. Right-click, ‘save as’, and then print it off however you’d like. I created the image at International Paper Size A3 (those of you who hail from the US, this is very similar in dimensions to a Tabloid size, I believe), so you should be able to print it up to that size, and anything smaller.

The movie quote and the book quote are slightly different in wording, but I’m pretty sure this is book quote. Correct me if I’m wrong.

So here’s to you, Dobby. Thank you for your Harry-saving sacrifice. To mix fandoms, as Galadriel from Lord of the Rings would say, ‘even the smallest person can change the course of the future’.
