Welcome to Inside Dali Auckland!
The Inside Dali (Auckland) exhibition was such a fun evening out! We headed to the very similar Van Gogh Alive exhibition at Spark Arena in 2021, so when it was announced that a Salvador Dali exhibition was coming, we jumped on the tickets and booked in a slot.
The multimedia experience opened in Auckland on the 28th of May 2022, and people have been flocking to Spark Arena to get a glimpse of the exhibition. Much like Van Gogh Alive (held in 2021 in the same location), Inside Dali showcases artwork, writings, thoughts and the life of famous Surrealist artist, Salvador Dali.

Who was Salvador Dali?
Salvador Dali was a Spanish surrealist artist who was born in 1904 and died in 1989. His most famous work is The Persistence of Memory, but he painted and drew much more than the artworks he’s known for over his time. The Inside Dali exhibition showcases these works wonderfully.
What is Inside Dali?
Inside Dali is a multimedia exhibition showcasing some of Dali’s famous works, as well as some of his lesser-known art. The exhibition is a mix of traditional galleries, audio and artistic projections, all of which bring something unique to the experience.
At Inside Dali, Auckland, you’ll follow the lobsters along the pavement outside Spark Area, before being ushered inside. After ordering a drink at the bar, you can then make your way around the halls, stopping for photo opportunities, reading the history and life story of the artist, and sitting in a large room to witness the artworks you’ve just seen projected in a 360-degree show around you.
On your way out, you’ll pass through the mirror room (those who like to wear skirts or dresses beware! π) before a final overview of the Dali’s life and a wander through the (albeit) small gift shop. There’s even an opportunity opposite the gift stands to take part in a VR Dali experience.

How much is the Inside Dali Auckland exhibition?
Inside Dali in Auckland costs $39.90 NZD for an adult, $29.90 for a child, and $36.90 for a concession ticket. You can also buy a group pass, which makes a ticket $29.90 per person if your group is 4 or more. You can purchase tickets here.

If you’re in Auckland or you’re visiting, then Inside Dali is a great way to spread an hour or so of your time! I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more exhibitions like this in the future!
Have you been to Inside Dali, Auckland? Or somewhere else in the world? What did you think?Β
