It’s Fandom of the Month Club time again! I had no idea what this month’s was until the Northern Hemisphere started posting photos of their boxes on Instagram. I usually find out that way, but occasionally there are hints and clues as to what the Fandom might be. For example, there have been a few clues for September’s box, and I think I know what it is.

August’s box was an older fandom, and one that wasn’t a movie or TV show fandom. We went old school, and we are all now sporting jewellery from Mario Bros! Yay! How awesome is that? I never had a Nintendo as a kid, nor anything like it, but I did play Mario on the computer eventually, and also played at friends’ houses. The jewellery for this month is super cute, and while a lot of people online aren’t that happy with this month’s, I really like it. Here’s what was in the box!

Fandom of the Month Club card

Every month includes a card like this, with the theme on it, and details all about FOTMC on the back. I really like this card too. Super cute.

Princess Peach Stash Bag

All the jewellery and bits and pieces arrive in a cute little stash bag like this every month, and it’s always printed with a quote or a tag line from the fandom. This one is of Princess Peach, and reads “Thank you, Mario! But out Princess is in another castle!’ I really love these bags. They’re so beautifully made (by Sand Sink) and are a great size for things like charges, pens, and of course, jewellery.

Magnet

This month’s box came with a magnet! This was an exciting little surprise. I have a feeling this might be the start of a magnet every month, according to the little example paragraph here on the website.

Earrings

Heh heh! I’m actually wearing these as I write it. So sweet! It’s a little mushroom, and the other one is a star.

Nintendo Controller Necklace

This month’s necklace is a controller necklace, and to be completely honest, possibly my least fave piece of this month. But I still love it! And I will still wear it.

Question Mark Box Ring

I love this! It’s so simple, but brilliant and it’s so cute. My only gripe with it is it’s super small for my chunky fingers, so it’s going to be a pinky ring, much like the owl ring I got back in the Harry Potter box in April.

Super Mario Key Chain

This month we also got a non-jewellery piece, which happens occasionally (check out the cool Deathly Hallows key chain back in April), and guys…this is probably my favourite piece. Which is odd, becuase it’s not even jewellery! However, I love all the little bits on it, and it’s so colourful! I might actually take the charms off the key chain and put it on a necklace, because I have like 10 key rings attached to only 3 keys. True.Story. And I recently got another key ring from the Owl Crate this month.

Another successful and awesome unboxing of the Fandom of the Month Club! I’m not going to regurgitate all the pricing/shipping information again, so you can find those throughout the other FOTMC posts:

Verdict

Read my initial verdict over at the April box.

Obviously this is my favourite thing ever, and I will continue getting this subscription box, probably until they stop doing it, or I die. Whatever comes first. Like I mentioned earlier, I have a sneaky suspicion I know what September’s box will be, and in a few weeks when the photos start hitting Instagram, I will know whether I’m right or not. In my mind, there are sort of two options, and I would be happy with either! Win win!

If you’re keen to try it out, you can get it for just one month, and right now if you sign up, I get my next box for free! What! I know! You can use my referral link if you’d like (no pressure!…seriously, no pressure. Only if you’d like to try out this awesome box), and get ready for your squees of excitement to happen!
