The BoMoSh September - This Splendid Shambles

Welcome to the BoMoSh!

The BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows, a post where I share what I’ve read and seen in the last month. I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies, so leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

Books | 4.5

I thought this month was going to be a mega fail, and here’s why: on the 1st of September I launched into The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. That book is over 800 pages long and I had been putting off reading it for about 18months. But then I joined a read-along on Instagram and we were going to be reading this book together during the course of the month. I honestly thought it was going to take me the entire month to read it but I read it in 11 days. I surprised myself.

And as such, I managed to finish reading King of Scars, which I started in August, read Kate in Waiting and Perfect on Paper. I also started Rule of Wolves which I’m loving so far.

What I thought was going to be a fail month, turned out quite nicely.

Movies + Shows

Didn’t watch any movies this past month, despite being in a lockdown here in Auckland, but my house has been watching Parks and Recreation from the beginning. I’ve seen it about 4 times now, all the way through, but no one else had seen it so it was high time they watched it.

I’ve also been watching weekly new episodes of Roswell: New Mexico, and I’ve said it before and I”ll say it again: even though I loved the original one, I am really enjoying this remake.

What have you read and watched this past month?
