Tokyo is the largest city in Japan, so when you’re heading there for a holiday, it pays to pick up a few tips before you go. There is plenty of there for to help you, and, as my friends and I discovered, the city is incredibly easy to get around. In this ultimate list of tips for travelling to Tokyo, we take a look at some of the best websites to check out for travel tips, food, things to do in Tokyo, and more!

But first, a story!

In 2015, 3 friends and I are headed to Tokyo for a week. It was all very sudden (as in my friend Roz rang me and asked if I wanted to go somewhere, I check my bank account, decided I couldn’t afford it and said ‘yes let’s do it’ – one week later we were booked), but we were all so looking forward to it!

It was the first time any of us have been to Japan, and the first time for everyone but myself to head to any part of Asia. Because of this, I did a lot of research already as to the things we can do in Tokyo, any day trips that we could make out of the city (trip to Mt Fuji, anyone?), and all the exciting things that we could check out.

In all my research, I discovered so many great tips for travelling to Tokyo, and I thought what better way to a) keep them all in one place and b) share them with other people than compiling them into a blog post.
