Comment Below. Save This. Buy Now. We talk a lot about CTAs (Call to Actions) over on Instagram. Whether you’re a social media guru, a product business, a blogger … we talk about adding a CTA to every single post to encourage people to interact with our content. But what bloggers don’t often think about is adding a CTA to our blog posts. In this post we’re going to take a look at the importance of a CTA on your blog posts, as well as the best Call-to-Action ideas for blog posts, so you can start getting some engagement on your posts.
But wait …
What is a CTA?
A CTA or a Call-to-Action is a simple action you wish your readers and customers to take next. CTAs are often about keeping people on your website for longer, encouraging them to make a purchase, or signing up to a mailing list.
Why is CTA important?
A CTA is important because it invites readers to take another step. It means they’re getting more out of their time on your website and they’re sticking around for longer. And that’s what we want. Keep reading to see some examples!

10 Best Call-to-Action Ideas For Blog Posts
Every single blog post I write has a CTA of some sort on it, guiding people on what to do next, just like over on Instagram. But as I mentioned before, they are a little different to Like, Comment, Save, Share.
Each blog post you write is going to have a different purpose. Perhaps it’s like this one you’re reading; it’s an informative post designed to teach you something. Or perhaps it’s a story-heavy post; it’s a post designed to inspire something in the reader or to have them relate to something that happened to you. Or perhaps it’s even an entertainment post; it’s funny, it’s shareable, it’s even relatable.
No matter what type of blog post you’re writing, you can find Call-to-Action ideas for blog posts in every niche. The CTAs I’m about to share can be adapted to your own blog, and adjusted depending on your niche.
10 CTAs to add to blog posts

- Find me over on [LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc]
- Share your [results, thoughts, opinions] on Instagram and tag me!
- Pin the image below to save it to Pinterest!
- Have you [read this book, been to this place, tried this recipe]? Let me know in the comments!
Let’s dive into these a little deeper.
Agree? Disagree? Let me in the comments!
This CTA encourages people to share their thoughts and opinions. This works for lots of different posts, not just ones that might be controversial. Try using it for your posts and see what people comment!
Have you [read this book, been to this place, tried this recipe]? Let me know in the comments!
This CTA encourages people to share more about their experience with a particular topic. They might tell you about the book you’ve just reviewed, or how they tried a recipe but substituted an ingredient and it made it a lot better, or perhaps they share about a hidden cafe in Stockholm that you hadn’t included in your own post.
Looking for more? Download the {Name of Lead Magnet} freebie here!
If you’ve got a downloadable or a freebie that is related to the post you’re working on, it’s a great place to promo it! Add a CTA at the end of your blog post and somewhere throughout the post to a) tell people that you have an epic freebie for them to download, b) encourage them to grab it, and c) remind them it exists.
If you’re looking for more [help, guidance, support etc], check out how we can work together here.
This CTA is great if you offer services alongside your blog. Perhaps you’re like me and you offer blog coaching and blog audits. You might add a Call-to-Action that draws your services to your readers’ attention, especially if the blog post is very related to what you offer.
Sign up for [signature course or programme] here.
Similarly, if you’ve got a programme, membership, or signature course, then adding the information to where people can learn can be a game-changer for your sales.
Purchase your [bumper guide, product] here.
Another great option is if you have physical or digital products. Encourage people to check them out! Or you could bundle up multiple blog posts of similar topics and offer them as an eBook.
Join my Facebook community for more.
Whether you have a Facebook Page or a Facebook Group (or both!), encouraging people to join via your blog posts is one way to grow your Facebook presence. There are many other ways to grow your Facebook Group and Page, but including a CTA on your posts is a good start.
Find me over on [LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc]
It’s not just social media that has to be social! Promote your social media right here on your blog. Hopefully, you’ve got your social links somewhere on your blog already, but people need reminding. Psst, while you’re here, come hang out on Instagram! Or find me over on Threads.

Share your [results, thoughts, opinions] on Instagram and tag me!
This is a fun one! Not on are you encouraging people to find you over on your Instagram profile, but you’re asking them to share their thoughts. Make sure you add the ‘tag me’ so you can see who might be sharing your posts. You can then share those responses and thoughts to your own Story.
Pin the image below to save it to Pinterest!
You should be creating Pins for every blog post you create, but another great Call-to-Action idea for your blog post is to add already-made Pins to the bottom of your posts. This reminds people that they can Pin your post, but also does half of the work for them! Create a Pinterest Pin on Canva, and add it to your post.
Just remember: you want people to connect with you more, buy something you’re selling, or stay on your blog. By providing your readers with options of ‘what next’, you’re more likely going to have people stick around or continue to come back to your content.
I hope that these 10 best Call-to-Action ideas for blog posts has been helpful!
