I grew up on Broadway musicals.
My earlier TV watching memories are of sitting on the rug in front of our little screen and singing along to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cats, and My Fair Lady. As I grew I fell in love with Singing in the Rain, Phantom of the Opera, and musical movies like Romeo and Juliet, An American in Paris, and Calamity Jane. Yes, not all these musicals have actually gone to Broadway, but many do double up on stage and screen.
I worked at a theatre during university, and to this day I am still attending multiple shows each year, the majority of which are musicals. Just recently I went to Matilda: The Musical and it was a-mah-zing. When I saw that Fandom of the Month Club was doing a Broadway box, well, I just about lost my mind. Give it to me now. Please. Thank you.
It finally arrived (being in little ol’ NZ means it takes a little longer for things to get here), and it did not disappoint.

Information card, stash bag and magnet
This stunning Broadway red curtain stash bag is perfect! I love it! Then there’s a beautiful magnet with the Miss Saigon (which I have yet to see!) silhouette, and the information card which is a Playbill, and has all the details about the box and FOTMC on it, like every month.

Les Miserable ‘Cosette’ Ring
This is pretty neat, though I don’t think I’ll ever wear it, to be honest. Perhaps at a themed party, but not day-to-day life.

Phantom of the Opera pocket mirror
This is pretty neato burito. I love being able to whip out a mirror when I’m out and about, and this is just beautiful. Phantom of the Opera is one of my favourite musicals, so it’s great to see it in the box!

Hamilton ‘Rise Up’ Keychain
I love this piece. We had a sneak peek of the design process a few months back, so it’s really cool to be able to see the final product. On the back is says ‘rise up’. This keychain is brilliant and I’m certainly adding it to my keys.

Wicked ‘Defying Gravity’ necklace
We also saw a sneak peek of this piece a while back, and while the design is simple, it’s quite pretty and I love the song lyrics, and the little splash of green gem.
My favourite piece this month is probably the Hamilton keychain, although I do really love the Phantom of the Opera mirror too. It’s a tough choice!
Did you get this month’s FOMTC box? What did you think?
