Check out this brilliant freebie Grab Bag!
If you’ve been wondering why there hasn’t been a Fandom of the Month Club post in the few months, that’s because Erin and the FOTMC team have been working endlessly around the clock to amend a whole bunch of issues they’ve been having with manufacturers and suppliers. It’s been a hard battle these past couple of months, and they’ve, unfortunately, received a lot of hate for it. It’s so sad to see so many people having a go at them for issues that are beyond their control. To make up for the long wait, they have been incredibly generous and have gifted those people who are still subscribers despite all the kerfuffle, these awesome complimentary grab bags.
What’s a grab bag, you ask?
A grab bag is a collection of items that have been put together without a real theme or fandom associated them. It’s items that have been produced over the years for various boxes, and that are now in the perfect position to be gifted. It’s literally a ‘grab the items, and put them in a bag/envelope’ situation.
Here’s what I got in my grab bag
There was a great selection of items in my grab bag, and many of them I didn’t have from past boxes (which was an added bonus!).

Check out all those cool pieces! I was super pumped to see that all the items I got were in fandoms that I love: Harry Potter, Disney, Supernatural, Doctor Who, The Princess Bride, and Game of Thrones.
Magnets
There were two magents in my grab bag: Snape and Cinderella. I already have the Snape one, but it’ll make gift or addition to a future giveaway. The Cinderella one I don’t have, so I’m adding that to my collection.
Stickers
Both the Platform 9 3/4 ticket and the Kansas KAZ 2Y5 number plate (Supernatural) are stickers, and while I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them, they’re definitely on the keep pile.

Inigo Montoya trading card
This is so neat! I don’t know if FOTMC has ever included trading cards like these before in their packs, but I haven’t ever received any so it might be a one-off. The Princess Bride is one of my favourite movies (have not read the book … but I don’t know if I want to; will I be disappointed when the movie is so good?!), so it’s fun to have Inigo in this mix.
Game of Thrones wolf decal
I actually already have this one, I got in the Game of Thrones special box back in 2016. But, like the Snape magnet, I’ll add this to my gift pile or add it to a future giveaway.
Temporary tattoo
Now this is fun! A temporary tattoo which reads ‘I <3 books’. I think I’ll save this one for summer.
Bookmarks
I think I actually might start using bookmarks after receiving these two awesome ones. The top one is Doctor Who themed, from the episode Vincent and the Doctor (Season 5 Episode 10) when the Doc and Amy head back in time and hang out Vinvent Van Gogh. It’s such a great episode, and this bookmark is beautiful. The second bookmark is the boys from Supernatural, and reads ‘Saving people, hunting things. The family business’. While I’m a bit behind in Supernatural (I believe I’m up to Season 12), it’s one of my favourite shows.

Note from Erin
It’s so lovely to receive a little note from Erin and the FOTMC crew. You guys know how much I love Fandom of the Month Club, and I’m fully backing Erin and her team, even though it’s been a really rough ride for them the past few months. I hope they’re seeing the customers who understand, and who get it, and aren’t getting overly down with all the hate that’s floating about the place. These things happen, and the are more important things to get up and arms about that missing out on your box of fandom jewellery.
I’ll leave you before I rant myself into a corner. Keep up the amazing work, Erin!
