Welcome to the BoMoSh!
If you missed last month’s post, the BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 8
- finished Queen of Air and Darkness, by Cassandra Clare
- Invisibly Breathing, by Eileen Merriman
- Girl, Wash Your Face, by Rachel Hollis
- The Steel Prince, by V.E. Schwab (comic)
- Siege and Storm, by Leigh Bardugo (audiobook, re-read)
- Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters, by Rick Riordan
- Four Dead Queens, by Astrid Schotle
- The 2019 Penguin Teen Superproof, by Penguin
While I supposedly read 8 books this past month, I finished two that I had started last month (QaAaD and Siege and Storm), one was a comic, and one an collection of the beginnings of 10 books (the superproof). I think after finishing QoAaD, I was just so super stoked to be able to pick up any other book that wasn’t 880 pages long. I you head back to February’s BoMoSh post, then you can read my gripe with the heftiness of this novel.
In the coming month I’m hoping to read King of Scars, by Leigh Bardugo, The Devil’s Thief, by Lisa Maxwell, and The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, by Mackenzi Lee, which has been sitting on my TBR pile for about 3 months now.
Movies | 1
- Captain Marvel (2019)
This month I actually went to the cinema! I know, I know. What has become of me. In the next month there are a few movies coming out that I really want to see so hopefully I can actually make that work and April’s BoMoSh post will involve a bigger list. We’ll see.
Shows
This month I’ve been eagerly counting down the days (like perhaps, most of the world) in anticipation for the release of the final season of Game of Thrones. Not long to go, you guys!
I’ve been watching Riverdale each week when it’s released, as well as Roswell: New Mexico, and Shadowhunters. I got into Derry Girls too this month after I was suggested it by a friend. It’s a funny 20-minute show about a group of friends living in Northern Ireland during the Troubles; they attend a Catholic girls school and it’s just their adventures. It’s pretty funny, and their accents are top notch.
What have you read and watched this past month?
