Welcome to the BoMoSh!
The BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows, a post where I share what I’ve read and seen in the last month. I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies, so leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 5
- Landline by Rainbow Rowell
- The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
- Chef’s Kiss by Hank Jones, Jarrett Melendez, Danica Brine (graphic novel)
- Little Thieves by Margaret Owen
- The Nobleman’s Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks by Mackenzi Lee
I believe that Landline was the only Rainbow Rowell book I hadn’t read until now. But after a pretty rough week, I decided I needed to distract myself, so I grabbed the audiobook, and popped it on while I did some sewing. The perfect way to destress, I have to say. It was a Christmas book, which I didn’t realise until I started reading it, so if you haven’t read it, there’s still time to keep the festivities going!
Movies | 7
- Home Alone
- Love Hard
- Holidate
- A Castle for Christmas
- The Eternals
- Spider-Man: No Way Home
- Death to 2021
December is a time for Christmas movies, amiright? Despite the fact that I don’t usually watch a lot of movies these days, Auckland came out of a 100+ day lockdown, which means the cinemas were finally open. I headed to The Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home at the theatre, and it was so much fun being back, even if our seats were spread with unbooked chairs between every booking.
Not quite the same but I’ll take what I can get.
Shows
I finished watching the Spanish show, Alta Mar (High Seas) and it was so much fun! What a great show. I think also continued my Spanish-show binge by starting and finishing Season 1 and 2 of Cable Girls. I’m finding watching these Spanish shows is improving my language, which is fun!
I also watched Doctor Who: Fluxx, and Wheel of Time.
What have you read and watched this past month?
