Welcome to the BoMoSh!
If you missed last month’s post, then in short, the BoMoSh is a new post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 4.5
- Everybody Hurts, by Joanna Nadin and Anthony McGowan
- A Conjuring of Light, by V.E. Schwab (review coming soon!)
- Breathing Under Water, by Sophie Hardcastle (review coming soon!)
- We All Looked Up, by Tommy Wallach (review coming soon!)
- Started our Dark Duet, by Victoria Schwab
This month I read a lot! I think it was because I was away for about a week in total, which gave me lots of reading time. Breathing Under Water was actually an audio book, which I listened to on the plane and during boring jobs at work, so that was in addition to ‘normal’ reading. I loved A Conjuring of Light so much, and We All Looked Up was pretty good, too! At the end of the month I began reading Our Dark Duet, also by Schwab (although her pen name for this series is Victoria, and not V.E.); I will seriously read anything she writes. The really enjoyed the first in the Monsters of Verity series, This Savage Song, so hopefully the second is jsut as good!
Movies
You guys. I didn’t watch any movies this month! Oh my word, what a slacker! Normally I head to the cinema at least once a month to catch something, but alas. That did no happen in August. I find watching movies at home never really happens, as I tend to like watching them with other people, and even if there’s something I really want to watch, it’s normally too late in the evening to start a 2-hour movie, so I end up just watching TV shows instead. Which brings us to…
Shows
This month I’ve been keeping up with Game of Thrones season 7 (are we loving this season? What are our thoughts?), I finally started season Season 9 Grey’s Anatomy (I’ve behind I know), and I’ve been having a blast re-watching Season 3 of Parks and Recreation. I also heard this month that Riverdale Season 3 starts in October! I swear we just finished season 2! I not complaining – that’s fantastic – it just seems way early! I finished watching Shadowhunters Season 3, which has been interesting, seeing what they’ve included and left out of the book series.
What have you read and watched this past month?
