Welcome to another The BoMoSh post!

If you missed last month’s post, then in short, this is a new post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

This month I read so many books. So.Many.Books. I didn’t really mean to, or specifically plan for it, it sort of just happened. Last month saw me watching a whole lot of movies because I was on summer holiday, but this month the books seriously out-numbered the movies. I did sort of lose momentum in this last week, and I’ve been struggling through The Star-Touched Queen, and hopefully I’ll be able to finish it in the next day or two.

Check out what I read and watched in February!

Books | 9

Goodreads Challenge | 14 / 40

  • The Midnight Star, by Marie Lu
  • Kindred Spirits, by Rainbow Rowell
  • Rebel of the Sands, by Alwyn Hamilton (review coming soon!)
  • Three Dark Crowns, by Kendare Blake (review coming to Blogger’s Bookshelf soon!)
  • The Problem with Forever, by Jennier L. Armentrout (review coming soon!)
  • A Shadow Bright and Burning, by Jessica Cluess (review coming soon!)
  • Ink and Bone, by Rachel Caine (review coming soon to Blogger’s Bookshelf)
  • Vicious, by V.E. Schwab (review coming soon)
  • The Star-Touched Queen, by Roshani Chokshi (review coming soon)

Holy smokes I read a lot of books in February. To be honest though, I didn’t start The Midnight Star in February, but I did finish it. Likewise, I didn’t quite finish The Star-Touched Queen, but it’ll be done in a day or two hopefully. I don’t think I’ve read this many books in one month in my entire life. And it was a short month. Three of these books I read in one sitting, so that added a lot to the total count. I’ll be posting a review every Monday from now on, so look out for those (and a couple over on Blogger’s Bookshelf).

Movies | 3

  • Storks (2016)
  • Hidden Figures (2017)
  • Stardust (2007)

I only saw one movie at the cinema this month, but it was a wonderful one. If you haven’t seen Hidden Figures yet, make sure you check it out. It’s a wonderful story and such a fascinating one too. Definitely well worth a watch. I also finally saw Storks (hilarious!), and a friend and I watched Stardust again.

Shows

I’ve been keeping up with things like The Vampire Diaries, How to Get Away With Murder, Shadowhunters, Riverdale, The Magicians, and Quantico. I’ve also been continuing my way-behind-in-the-world shows, like Suits (halfway through season 4) and also finally finished Supernatural, season 10.

This month I also signed up for my free month of Netflix, to trial that. And it’s actually great. Really enjoying it, and I think I’ll continue my subscription when the trial runs out. I know I’m late to the Netflix party, but I’ve had so many shows  that I was catching up with on DVD and on my computer, that I didn’t really need it. I feel like the time has come, my friends. Netflix it is.

Next Month…

Books – In March I’m planning on finishing The Star-Touched Queen, and then diving into King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard and also Caraval by Stephanie Garber. Both of these were given to me by Hachette Publishing and both I am super excited to read! I also have a few books on hold at the library, including Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth, and Heartless, by Marissa Meyer.

Movies – This week Logan comes out in the cinemas here in NZ. While I’m not super excited for this movie, it is an X-Men movie and I love them so I will definitely be seeing it anyway. The greatest thing about March? The release of Beauty and the Beast. Seriously, my excitement levels are through the universe right now. Soooo looking forward to it!

Shows – This month I really want to finish Suits season 4. After that happens then I hope to start (and finish!) Orphan Black season 3, and also continue with some of the shows that are being released weekly at the moment.

Drop me a comment or flick me a Tweet if you have any suggestions for books, movies or shows, or let me know what you’ve read and watched this month!
