Book Haul #23…

Should I be sorry about another book haul? Probably to my bank account, yes. But today’s book haul includes one that came in the Owl Crate subscription books, and also one that I received from Hachette Publishing for an honest review. Only one of these were in a sale bin, and the rest I bought online for decent prices. Check out what’s in this book haul:

Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand
Bought: Mighty Ape
My friend raves about this book, and it’s a popular book, so I thought I should pick up a copy. I managed to get this one from Mighty Ape (an online store here in NZ) for a decent price. I’ll let you know what I thought of it when I read it!

Wicked, by Gregory Macguire 
Bought: Mighty Ape
Another book that I’d love to read. While I haven’t seen the production of Wicked, I know all the songs because we used to play the album at work in the UK. I’d love to see the production at some point. But for now, the book it is.

Church of Marvels, by Leslie Parry
Received for review by Hachette Publishing
This book was pretty good. I was sent it by Hachette Publishing for an honest review, which you can find here on the blog, and also the same review on Blogger’s Bookshelf. 

Everything That Makes You, by Moriah McStay
Received in: April’s Owl Crate
Excited as I am to read this, I have not done so yet. Yikes. SO many books to read! This book is a beautiful hard-cover and it came in the April’s Owl Crate, which you can read all about here.

The Miniaturist, by Jessie Burton
Bought: The Book Depository 
I’ve heard so many great things about this book that I had to grab a copy. Found this one on Book Depo, which has free world wide delivery in case you didn’t know, and while it was a bit of an impulse buy, I can’t wait to read it.

The Young Elites, by Marie Lu
Bought: The Book Depository 
While this book has been on my to-read list for ages, I decided to bump it up the list a bit by buying it and reading it before the movie comes out later this year.

A Court of Thorns and Roses, by Sarah J. Mass
Bought: The Book Depository 
I really love her Throne of Glass series, so when I saw she had another book out I had to get my  hands on it.

Ashes, by Ilsa J. Brick
Bought: The Warehouse
Another sale bin buy for about $4 I think it was. I picked it up because it was a zombie book, and I haven’t really read any zombie books. Thought this was a good/cheap place to start!
