Somehow I managed a book haul before Christmas.

Don’t ask me how I do it (okay so I literally just buy books…), but it happened. Looking at the collection of books I bought in late November, early December, I realise what an odd combination of books it is. There’s a few fantasy books, a bunch of short story collections, and a few then-new releases. Check it out.

These four books I bought for this year’s Blogger’s Bookshelf new book club theme: Short stories. January’s book was Tales of the Peculiar, and I chose A Tyranny of Petticoats as February’s book.

Warcross, by Marie Lu

The Glass Spare, by Lauren DeStefano

Warcross was bought in a flurry of ‘ooooh a new book!’ excitement, and The Glass Spare was in November’s Owl Crate box.

Everless, by Sara Holland

Hollow City, by Ransom Riggs

Thanks to Hachette NZ for Everless, I loved this book so much! Hollow City was my own purchase.

Tower of Dawn, by Sarah J Maas

Queen of Hearts, and Blood of Wonderland, by Colleen Oaks

The latest installment of the Throne of Glass series (which I haven’t read past book 3 yet – must get on to that) had to bought, and the Queen of Hearts books by Colleen Oaks were in a sale bin.
