When Christmas and your birthday happen within a month, there’s gonna be a book haul.

This past Christmas, all the presents I got from family and friends were all Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings themed. I kid you not. All of them. They know me so well.

In among the geek were books, great books. They were all on my Christmas Wish List, so I’m super thankful and grateful for people who take that on board when picking out gifts for me. Haha.

Harry Potter – A History of Magic : The Book of the Exhibition

Thanks parents, for this copy. I sat down on Christmas afternoon and read the entire thing. It’s actually so wonderful!

Harry Potter – A Journey Through A History of Magic

This one I bought for myself for my birthday, and it’s a little different to the above one, in that it’s more interactive and probably more kiddy-focused.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them : Illustrated Edition

So beautiful! I love the illustrations in this book so much! I bought this for myself for Christmas (because gifts for yourself are totally okay, amiright?).

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated Edition

Thank you to my friend for this one! I have all three now, but I’m worried that next year they’re going to start getting huge. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire really shoots up in size, and already this one is bigger than the last two. Perhaps they will split the following books into parts?

Chelsea Winter: Eat

I love Chelsea’s recipe books. They’re super easy, super simple meals with ingredients that you actually have and not something you have to go hunting for in some obscure store on the other side of town, down an alley with a shady sign. You know. This was from my parents for my birthday.

And that’s a wrap! My Christmas and Birthday haul. Did you get any books for Christmas?Β
