Welcome to the BoMoSh!

If you missed last month’s post, then in short, the BoMoSh is a new post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

Books | 5

  • A Poison Dark and Drowning, by Jessica Cluess
  • Tales of the Shadowhunter Academy, by Cassandra Clare
  • Tales of the Peculiar, by Ransom Riggs
  • Falling Kingdoms, by Morghan Rhodes
  • Turtles All the Way Down, by John Green

My first book of 2018 was A Poison Dark and Drowning. Last year I read the first in this series and really loved it (you can check out my review of A Shadow Bright and Burning here), so made sure it was one of the books I started with this year. Other that the Shadowhunter’s Codex, Tales of the Shadowhunter Academy was the only Shadowhunters book I hadn’t read yet, so it was high on the must-read list. Speaking of tales, as a Blogger’s Bookshelf book club we read Tales of the Peculiar, by Ransom Riggs and it was such a neat book!

Movies | 2

  • The Greatest Showman (2017)
  • Pitch Perfect 3 (2018)

The Greatest Showman is currently my favourite movie. As soon as we saw it, we went and downloaded the music, and listened to it non-stop until we knew all the words to all the songs, and then belted out the lyrics for at least a week straight. Pitch Perfect 3 was fun (forgot how funny those movies can be), but I still think I like the first one the best.

Shows

I finally finished Stranger Things season 2 this month (quick shout out to the best character ever: Dustin), and started Nashville (a long time coming, but it’s been a show I’ve been meaning to watch because, well country music) and am really enjoying it so far. I also dived head-first into Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and am in constant confusion, awe, and excitement at every episode. The Crown season 1 was also binged this month, and I also kept up with new episodes of Riverdale, and The Magicians.

What have you read and watched this past month?
